Who else is struggling with Mother's Day this year?
Nothing too dramatic on my end - I'm just struggling to act like it matters to me.
The last few years, it has felt more like an obligation than a celebration of the woman who gave me life. Once you realize that the person you live with doesn't even like you, well, you eventually lose the steam that motivates you to keep trying to make their day.
I did get her a gift that she likes, so there's that.
