I want a bidet at work. You want a bidet at work. We all want bidets at work. But nobody's gonna be the person who walks up to facilities and asks for one. So I built buttstuff.work.

You verify your work email, smash a big red button, and your company's count goes up. Your email gets hashed and forgotten. Nobody knows it was you. You can come back every month and smash again to keep the pressure on.

How it works:

  • Enter your work email, click the magic link
  • Name your company if you're the first from that domain
  • Smash the button
  • Personal emails (gmail etc) get their own isolated entry so they don't mess up corporate counts

The public site just shows a live feed of recent smashes. No vote counts, no rankings. The full analytics (leaderboard, geographic breakdowns by zip, trends over time) are what I plan to sell to commercial bidet companies who want to know where the demand is. That's the business model: we generate the demand signal, they pay for it.

Tech stack if you care: Go stdlib net/http, SQLite with Litestream replication, plain HTML/CSS/JS, ~1500 lines of Go, Docker + k8s.

Would you smash it?
