Hey everyone,

I’m applying for the CNA program at RCC and I have a question I’m honestly kind of stressed and embarrassed about, so I’d really appreciate advice without judgment.

I recently did my physical through my doctor’s office, and my drug test came back positive for THC. I understand that the program doesn’t allow that, and I take full responsibility for it.

My main questions are:

- Does the doctor’s office send those results directly to the nursing program, or do I personally submit the paperwork?

- If I don’t turn in that paperwork, would I be able to redo a physical somewhere else once I’m clean?

- Has anyone been in a similar situation and still made it into the program?

I’m really serious about getting into this program and moving forward with my career, so any guidance or personal experiences would mean a lot.

Thank you.
