Trimbow 172

Hi everyone,

after my last post I asked my doctor for a higher dose of Trimbow. I started taking it last night. Does anyone have experience with when an improvement can be expected?

I now document every puff of my Trimbow in order to present it to my doctor as evidence of the lack of control over my asthma. Perhaps this underscores the need for a different therapy. Unfortunately, he hasn't changed anything about it in recent years, and I've had to live with it.

Frequent Use of the Emergency Spray

Hello everyone,
A little bit about myself: I am in my late 30s and have had asthma since early childhood. During my childhood, I experienced hardly any symptoms and rarely even needed my rescue inhaler. Several years passed in the interim—about 12 of which I spent smoking—with the exception of one six-week and one one-year period during which I was smoke-free. I have not smoked since 2017. Unfortunately, ever since I was forced to quit smoking, I have become dependent on my rescue medication. In addition to taking Trimbow (active ingredients: beclomethasone, formoterol, glycopyrronium) twice daily, I have to take Berotec (active ingredient: fenoterol) every three to four hours. I also take montelukast in the evenings, though I haven't noticed any particular effect from it yet. However, when my medications are working, I am able to manage my daily routine normally and even engage in endurance sports. Thus, my lungs appear to have suffered very little structural damage—a fact that was also confirmed by my most recent pulmonary function test.
Unfortunately, I have already been told—independently, by two doctors—that this constitutes the maximum therapy. Somehow, I just can't bring myself to accept that. Has anyone had a similar experience and found a solution—whether pharmacological or non-pharmacological? Since I am not functionally limited in my daily life, biologics are unfortunately not an option for me.

Disclaimer: I am from Germany, and my English is not very strong. Therefore, I translated this text into English using Google Translate.
