I know it’s probably too early to diagnose anything at 23 weeks, but I’m feeling concerned. My son makes very limited eye contact with caregivers or others. He stopped babbling about four weeks ago and also stopped rolling in bed around the same time. He doesn’t copy or respond to sounds we make. He rarely smiles, though if we try really hard, we can sometimes get a few giggles. Interestingly, he does smile at our dog and at objects or toys.
Overall, he’s been a very easy baby. He doesn’t cry much, sleeps well, and eats well. Should I be concerned?
