Advanced osteoarthritis- I fell and hurt my knees and bladder.

I have genetic stable osteoarthritis in my knees, wrist and feet. Last Thursday morning. I don’t even know how the fall happened but my knees twisted how they’re not supposed to. I got to work in shock and then it got bad. Baaaad. I could barely stand up, lay down, etc. I went to the er last Friday, and got a proper physical exam and x rays. He didn’t think any major tears based on the physical exam and no findings on the x ray. Since then my function has gotten a lot better. I can sit, stand, walk, etc but it’s so painful. There’s a weird burning in the outside of my knee. Google points to meniscus tear. I stepped off the bus wrong and now it’s hurting on the other knee too. I’m glad I have some basic function back but the intensity of the pain discourages me. I want to start an exercise program and stuff. Go walking more often.

I’m a little scared this is my new normal for pain? I’m on high dose mounjaro which took my pain away entirely. Now I’m in a ton of pain and would give anything to get back to baseline.

from what I’ve read these things can take a while to get better, though. Has anyone torn their meniscus or bruised it and been okay? I’m hoping maybe it’s a bruise and not a tear.
