How to draw illustrations??
Hello!! Been drawing for years, I feel like I’ve lost the ability to make illustrations!! I have plenty of sketches and ideas for stories but I struggle with making art out of any of it as I never know what to choose as a subject or how to get started!! I’ve never really had a formal education, mostly self taught and I stopped drawing for a couple years cuz of depression. Since I got back, I dunno how to make a finished piece anymore, which is strange cuz I know it’s all in my head! And even back when I used to finish art, I would just do head shots and basic poses like in the 4th image, but that’s boring and I want to broaden my horizons <3
I’ve attached a good chunk of pictures, mostly just sketches, studies, and character design stuff. My best studies are nude so I can’t post them ;p but I gravitate toward fashion, anatomy, and mythology! I mostly draw in pen to practice line confidence but I’m comfortable with Pencil, as well as digital art. Any advice would be appreciated!!
