Hello! My parents just moved into a second-floor apartment, with a large south facing window. My mother loves succulents, but all the ones she has are lower light loving (haworthias and sanseveria)

We're trying to find some beginner friendly succulents that love the sun, but can handle the dimmer Canadian winters. (We're in southeast Ontario)

I've tried to look through the posts mentioning south facing windows, but most seem to have specific problems, whereas I'm just looking for recommendations.

We've asked at the garden centres here, but they say that no succulent enjoys strong sun. Which seems wrong to me, but maybe they're right?
