How important is WAM?

I’m a final year nursing student and just wondering how big of an impact WAM is for getting a grad position.

My WAM sits in the average range which is why I’m worried. I’ve done well on my placements according to feedbacks from my educators and buddy nurses and gotten good references from nurses and preceptors. Unfortunately though…lengthy academic assessments like essays and case studies are my weak point and my WAM doesn’t really look that impressive compared to many others I’m sure.
I’m just worried with how competitive grad positions are that all my other hard work such as placements and even if my interview on pmcv goes well, that I’ll be weighed down by my WAM and they’ll prefer to give the position to someone with a high WAM.

How much does WAM actually matter for securing a grad position/getting employed?
Are there any nurses who didn’t achieve a particularly high WAM (maybe having an average or even low WAM) but still managed to get a grad position…?

Thank you for anyone who has advice or could share their experiences!

I’m in my final year of uni for my nursing degree and Centrelink rejected my claim for youth allowance but in the mobile app there’s 2 new tasks (just appeared same day as the rejection notice) for me to upload documents of verification of enrolment and academic transcripts despite the claim already being “rejected”. There’s no further email/information provided as to why though.

It’s a Saturday right now hence why I can’t call them up, but I’m assuming the reason it’s rejected is because I’m doing part time study for semester 1 (EFTSL: 0.250), and full time for semester 2 (EFTSL 0.500). I’m guessing to be eligible I have to be doing full time for both semesters(?). But prior to submitting the claim I was under the impression that as long as I have 0.75 EFTSL total for the whole year (which I do) it should be okay.

Do I have any chance of getting the claim re-assessed and potentially approved if I submit the requested documents despite it being “Rejected” in the app. Because I have to pay about $30 for the digital enrolment verification letter (which will just say Semester 1: EFTSL:0.250, Semester 2: EFTSL:0.500) from my uni portal and I’m not sure if it’ll be for nothing if it’s going to be rejected anyways because of the part time study in the first semester.

Thank you in advance to anyone who may be able to provide any advice :)
