Our RWA is no longer allowing bicycles to be taken in lifts, citing damage to lifts and increasing costs of maintenance. I think this is bakwass (elevators are 15+ years old and failing).

However this would be fine if they provided parking for bicycles. They have allocated an area that is far too small for the number of bicycles, that is uncovered and exposed to rain, is infested with pigeons, and there's no bicycle stands to allow parking (or to attach a bike lock to). There is no security cameras in the area either.

There's no real space for bicycles all in one spot, there's no budget for stands, and although I think the 'no bikes in lifts' thing is nonsense, I'll let that be.

How do I deal with this? Everyone on the association is an old dude who definitely doesn't bike anywhere, and their kids have all long grown up and left home. I genuinely think they just haven't thought this through. My kid's bike is expensive- I don't want it rusting away.
