So I applied to my local IKEA for a fulfillment operations team leader and had the interview scheduled for may 4th at 11:30pm PST and when the time rolled around never got a call, 11:40AM I checked my screen alerts for any missed calls VM etc, nothing. Simply figured “eh maybe they filled it” and went about my day. Then at 11:55am my phone starts ringing and I answer and the first thing I hear after hello is “is this John?” Yes it is “hi this is Karriem with IKEA are you no longer interested in the position?” Uh no I’m still interested. “Oh well the time no longer works so you’ll need to reschedule”. Uh ok but I never got a call at the scheduled time “yes I called and left a voicemail”. And like magic I got a VM alert as he said this. The VM itself wasn’t professional either “hi this is Karriem with IKEA….ya we had an interview scheduled” *click*. But he just repeated to just reschedule it and hung up on me. So I went and immediately rescheduled the interview for the 6th, today, at 12pm PST and guess what no call at all as of 1:30pm. 2/2 for shitty recruiters for IKEA and I have screenshots of my confirmation emails of the interview times. This is one of the worst I’ve dealt with while looking for a different job. Anyone else have any experience with IKEA?
