How to tell if I am burnt out or being lazy

Hello everyone! I'll jump right into it. I released my most recent game nearly 4 months ago. Each month until March, I started at least one game dev project a month only to drop it a couple days later. I would feel so exhausted from working on games. I figured I was burnt out then, so I haven't even touched game development since.

Today, I saw that CoolMathGames was doing a game jam and figured that could be how I get back into game dev. Not even a full day since seeing the jam posting, I feel exhausted thinking about interpretations of the theme and even the thought of working on a game. I hadn't even opened a game engine or anything. Just the thought of it pushed me away.

I am curious how to tell if I am burnt out and should take a longer break or if I'm being lazy and should push myself to at least make something small. I do game dev purely as a hobby so there isn't some insane stakes hinging on me working on a project. I simply have been at a pretty low point recently and game dev has been a nice happy place for me in the past, so why not have it work the same magic now. I am curious on your thoughts on this. Thank you all and have a wonderful morning, evening, or night!

Heyhey everyone! I have noticed a trend in my Sims 4 playthroughs where I get bored after a day or two of playing with a household. Recently, every household I play I do a rags to riches sort of play style and each household focuses on a specific Sims 4 pack I haven't played much. Still, after a day or two of playing, I get bored and want to move onto another household. I have tried looking for challenges to play but most challenges I have seen are legacy challenges and I can't barely stick to one household for long.

What would you suggest I do to stick with a playthrough? I cannot use mods because my computer blows up if I have anything more than MC Command Center. Thank you all and happy simming!
