What would your OC(s) think of Mimics?
Mimics
Danger Level: 3
Description:
Mimics are tall, lanky creatures that normally stand around 12 feet tall in their true forms, though their size means very little due to their incredibly powerful shapeshifting abilities. They can stretch, twist, compress, and warp their bodies into nearly anything imaginable. Native to Australia, Mimics usually inhabit isolated rural regions, though sightings within urban areas are not uncommon.
Behavior:
Mimics are extremely violent predators, but they are also highly intelligent and patient hunters. They have been known to stalk prey for days disguised as harmless objects, animals, or people. Once they fully understand their target’s routines and behaviors, they infiltrate the victim’s home or surrounding area. From there, they disguise themselves as ordinary household items or trusted individuals in order to lure there prey. When they attack, it is sudden and devastating. Victims are often killed before they even realize what was happening. Mimics are also known for hiding in places where humans naturally lower their guard, like bathrooms, showers, closests, or as family pets.
Origins
Mimics have existed on Earth for millions of years and are believed to be one of humanity’s oldest natural predators. Ancient cave markings reference creatures with similar abilities long before modern documentation existed.
Their true origin remains unknown.
First Recorded Sighting:
The first officially documented Mimic was discovered in 1355 after explorers found the corpse of an unidentified creature deep within a cave system. Reports described the body as pale, lanky and partially malformed
How to Deal With It:
If you feel like you may be in danger of a mimic attack call the R.C.T and remain vigilant at all timeses. If a Mimic enters your home, assume it already understands the layout and your routine, once a Mimic successfully enters a home, the chances of survival drop dramatically.
