My son made the switch to Vivaldi
And he’s liking it so far.
After Chrome’s 4GB AI privacy scandal, I suggested he try a different web browser. He made the big switch from Internet Explorer to Chrome back in the day and didn’t realize there were more than five browsers to choose from nowadays. I’ve been using Edge myself, while some of his friends prefer Brave, and he had also experimented with Zen. There were plenty of options, but the final decision came down to Brave vs. Vivaldi.
Vivaldi won out because its features suited him better, integrated calendar and mail over a crypto wallet and video chat. Right now, he’s busy customizing it to his liking. Would you be interested in a report on his final experience?
As someone who cares about privacy, I’d love for Vivaldi to be open-source and a Firefox fork, but as a productivity enthusiast, I also know its limits.
Anyway, thank you for this fantastic tool! The hiding UI is a really great improvement.
Edit: You know what I couldn’t find? A light introductory video to Vivaldi listing all its features so he knows exactly what he’s getting into.
