I have oily, acne-prone skin but it's gotten drier from using tretinoin. I've been using COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All in One Cream during the day and loving it, but I think I need sthg more moisturizing now.

Does anyone know if Purito Seoul Mighty Bamboo Panthenol Cream is heavier/better/more moisturizing than COSRX Advanced Snail 92?

I was using tret 0.1 for abt 2 years w great results, then I broke out terribly for a couple of months bc the tube I was traveling w had a crack in the cap and the tret oxidized. Since then, it's been a struggle getting my skin to clear up again. Switching to taz 0.1 has helped immensely (and I seem to have just abt finished purging), but the doc I spoke to (who is not my regular doc) said I can use it twice a day if I want to speed up the process, since my skin is tolerating it well (no peeling, mo dryness, no sensitivity) and my barrier's intact.

I am not game to use taz twice a day, but I'm thinking of using another photostable retinoid—adapalene or micro tret—in the morning. I know someone who uses taz at night and micro during the day and gets great results, but he's a security guard who virtually never sees sunlight.

Is there anyone here who's used tret, or any other prescription retinoids, twice a day on a normal diurnal schedule and can weigh in?

TiA. :)

Edit: I use tret/taz for all the things: acne, melasma, anti-aging.

I went from tret 0.1 to taz 0.1 roughly 2.5 weeks ago, and I'm ecstatic for most part. However, like a lot of ppl who make the transition, I am purging.

The purge is overall way better than the tret purge was—ie. small bumps that resolve in a few days, sometimes even in 24 hours, and barely leave any marks—but I have one ginormous cyst near my nose on my inner cheek that came up like lightning and is just not budging. I had two small bumps that came up a coupel of weeks ago in the exact same spot and went down again, so I'm guessing those were cysts lurking deep down in my dermis, and the taz brought them to the surface at the same time. (Sorry if this is TMI, but it kind of feels like two conjoined lumps under my skin.) Anyone who's been through it, does this sound normal for a taz purge to you?

I started tret ~2.5 years ago for acne and photoaging.
