Hello Everyone!

Like the title says, I am new here. Ive been scrolling through the page for a few months reading some posts, so I wanted to get on here and ask for some advice.

What is the best way to begin? I see a lot of conversations between people that have been doing this for some time, but I am at the very beginning of this journey.

For context, I am 25 y/o. What is the best way to begin this journey and start saving. Should I start Maxing out a Roth IRA and putting as much as I can in my workplace 401k? How does everyone determine their retirement $ number ?

Any advice would be great! I am excited to learn as much as I can!
