Regarding Mechanical Engineering

I am likely to pursue mech through bits this year onwards, do the students focus on mech or grind/learn on their own about IT and try for swe placements or are there both type of students or do they all focus on core mech,.

Sorry for a silly question.

Mods don't remove this post, I am not aware of rules

Regarding Branch

I have scored 249 in S1 & JM 99.44%ile

I am surely going to join bits.

No financial constraint, no prior inclination towards any branch, not a software paglu, do not care about package.

Should I choose mechanical or MSc eco if I get?

BITS has not released the curriculum for pharmaceutical engineering, if it's good I am open for that too, I don't care about jobs I'll do masters in whatever I pursue, so will it be a good option?

I am tired and thinking of worst case scenario and options I have.

Please guide🫂
