▲ 3 r/printers
I need a printer for paper props that will be handled.
Things like postcards, wine bottle labels, letters, envelopes, and book jackets. I'd like a printer that can handle different paper weights, with ink that won't smudge.
Currently looking at Epson Workforce WF-7820
Some people want to compare similar models. Someone recommended the Epson Workforce series for its durability and pigment-based ink that will last a long time and not smudge. I see Epson Workforce has very mixed reviews though, so I'm hesitant and seeking additional opinions here.
Minimum Requirements:
- Budget: $200ish
- Country: U.S.
- Color or black and white: Color
- Laser or ink printer: I'm not sure, something that can be handled without smudging
- New or used: Either I suppose
- Multi-function: I'm not sure what this means, but I do need different paper weights and a decent resolution
- Duplex Printing: I'm not sure what duplex printing is
- Home or business: Home
- Printing content: Text, images, maybe photos, I mentioned labels but I don't necessarily need sticker paper I can adhere the labels with glue, I just want the labels to look believable.
- Printing frequency: I'll be using it in my spare time, sometimes everyday for a week or so and then probably not at all for a week or so.
- Pages per minute : I'm not sure
- Page size: 13x19 inches seems like a good max. size
- Device printing from: Macbook
- Connection type: Wifi
Any other details:
I'll be using the printer for my film making endeavors so the usage will wax and wane, but I'd like something that can use for a long time if possible.
