I had a few specific needs in an RTT. I'm solo camping, and I'm short, so size wasn't an issue. But I needed it to be under 6" thick when closed. I wanted used because I'm cheap. Well, I found a Badass tent. But, this one is a little different. From what I was told, the original owner stood on top of it and broke the top. She sold it to a fabricator, and he made a new roof for it. It's a solid piece of 1/8" aluminum plate with sides tig welded to it. He did a ridiculously good job. No waves or oil canning. The only issue is that it weighs about a million pounds. It won't be an issue for me, but it limits what vehicle it can be mounted to. Now, I just need to get a new roof rack for my FJ.
