This is coming from someone who got into a competitive program with ‘mid’ ECs and average. When I posted about it having gotten in first round, I was genuinely downvoted because people were so egoistic and pissed that someone ‘not in the same level’ as them had gotten in before them.

At the end of the day, these people are your competition and will tell you a million things to make you give up. I genuinely had people tell me not to apply at all just to eliminate competition. Don’t EVER think you’re not good enough. Be authentic and give it your all.

You don’t have anything to lose by trying. And if you get in, they’ll just be the people who needed to persuade others not to try just so they could slither their way into a program they’re not good enough to get into the first place.
