Hi, I'm currently a high school senior, and I'm very interested in consulting. I will be attending UF (University of Florida) next year and majoring in industrial engineering. I'm aware UF isn't really considered a target school or anything, but I have seen many people land jobs at MBB firms. I wanted to ask that if I really want to pursue this, should I double major in finance, minor in finance, or just fully major in finance.
I have always been really interested in engineering, but have recently shifted my hopes towards consulting/finance. I decided to major in industrial because I had heard that it is a good split between the two allowing me to go into finance while still being an engineer. I'm very science oriented, so if I were to major in finance, I would do a BS in Finance. Please give any recommendations about my major choice and whether this is doable.
I have also thought about maybe doing a master's at a target school to help my chances of getting recruited.
Any advice is appreciated
