Tuesday Carry — showing off the Mithril

I think I’ve found my favorite carry.

I just want to take a moment to appreciate the milling on this thing. You notice it right away in hand, and it gives it this really comfortable, tactile grip. It just feels superb to hold.

The bolt action is fantastic too. Smooth, snappy, and honestly pretty addictive to fidget with.

I’m a little surprised this one isn’t getting more attention. I’m not a camp pen guy, but the Mithril is definitely on another level.

Happy May the 4th, everyone! As I sit at my desk today, I can’t help but marvel at three stunning Mithril pens I have. Each a work of art, each a potential lightsaber.

First, the White Timascus. Its layers are like the galaxy, intricate and radiant, though maybe a bit too elegant for a Jedi blade.

Next, the Zirconium Mithril. If I were a Sith Lord, this would be my saber, sleek, dark, cool, and undeniably powerful.

But my favorite is the Mokume Mithril. This treated Mokume has a natural wood vibe, like an ancient force calling from the galaxy. If I could craft a lightsaber, it would be this one.

Which would you choose?

For your enjoyment, a few different flavors of Mokume today. From the warm, layered look of the Chocolate Mokume Mithril to the brighter, more reflective finishes on the others, each piece has its own personality.

Same technique, completely different vibes depending on how the layers hit the light. That is what makes Mokume so addictive. No two are ever the same.
