Hey everyone — I see the same questions come up a lot: "why is my PC slow," "something is eating all my RAM," "my disk is thrashing and I don't know why." I built a free tool called Desktop Goblin that sits on your desktop as a little animated character and monitors your CPU, RAM, GPU, disk, network, and battery in the background. When something looks off — like a background process quietly eating 80% of your CPU — he will let you know via a chat bubble and tell you what's going on in plain language instead of making you dig through Task Manager. There's more advanced detail if you dig into it, but this is made for non-techies and techies alike.

It also keeps a logbook of everything it notices, so if your PC was acting up while you were away or during a game, you can scroll back and see exactly what happened and when.

It's completely free — no telemetry, no ads, completely private. Windows and macOS. Just a goblin keeping an eye on things. I'm an indie developer and I want to see if people find it useful. If there's enough interest, I'll keep building on it with features people can vote on.

Happy to answer any questions.
