O2 Spacers or OBD Scanner?
Just received a downpipe for my car, but I am not going to tune it right this minute. I'll probably wait a bit to tune it as a tune is pretty expensive. I obviously don't want a check engine light so I was wondering if I should run O2 spacers meanwhile, but I am doubting this as I know it is a hassle to have to take them off when I am going to tune the car, I also don't know if its the healthiest thing for the car because its kind of tricking the ECU. I've been thinking of also maybe getting an OBD scanner and just clearing the code (I have some questions about this, 1. can I just clear the specific O2 sensor code and still have my check engine light activated for other things? and 2. how often will I have to clear that code, is it something that will just immediately come back on when I turn on the car again or will it erase the light for a while?. Let me know what y'all recommend thanks.
