I saw a post earlier about the Honey extension controversy and honestly I’m surprised this still isn’t getting more attention.
Even after videos exposed how Honey allegedly used “last-click attribution” to take affiliate commissions from creators, the extension is still huge on Chrome and still has around 16 million users.
What also makes this worse is that it allegedly didn’t just affect creators, but consumers too. The whole point of Honey was supposed to be finding the best deals, yet people are claiming it sometimes prioritized partner companies instead of actually giving users the best discount available.
