Customs rules for bringing personal footwear collection when moving to Poland

Hello,
I am moving from the US to Poland later this year. I have a collection of about 8 pairs of high-end leather boots that I’ve acquired over the years. All of them are used, but their market value is quite high.
1. Does Polish customs typically flag a large amount of shoes (8 pairs) as commercial goods?
2. Since these are my personal belongings I’ve owned for more than 6 months, am I exempt from VAT/duties?
3. Is it better to have them in my suitcases or include them in a shipping container with other household goods?
I want to make sure I don't get hit with a massive tax bill just for moving my own wardrobe. Thanks for any insights!

Moving from US to EU (Poland) with a large collection of PNW boots — Customs concerns?

Hi everyone,
I’m planning a permanent move from the US to Poland. I’m a heritage boot enthusiast and currently own about 8 pairs of PNW boots (White’s, Nicks, etc.).
I'm concerned about EU customs. If I bring my entire collection (mostly used/worn, but expensive), will I face issues at the border? I’ve heard stories about customs suspecting "intent to sell" due to the high value of these brands.
Has anyone moved with a large "hobby" collection of heavy footwear? Should I ship them separately as personal effects or just pack them in my checked luggage? I’m considering downsizing to just 2-3 pairs to avoid headaches, but I’d hate to leave my favorites behind.
Any advice on how to declare them or if "well-worn" status truly helps avoid import duties? Thanks!
