I posted on logodesign about 2 weeks ago asking for advice on a logo, and I got absolutely hammered on how crap it was and that my business name / brand was rubbish also. To which, after doing some thinking and research, I 100% agree.

Armed with my criticism and a new drawing board, I got bet into doing a new logo and coming up with some brand ideas / logo designs.

This is what I am doing now. High Tide (Web Design)

It's based around my hometown, which is a small coastal town. I have a personal connection with the sea here and the harbour / tide, a lot of childhood memories on the pier / harbour fishing with my dad. Spent the majority of my childhood/teens beside the sea. So that's where the name comes from.

I have worked on my brand guidelines / identity and story too.

The typography I plan on using is: Bebas Nue for headings & Open Sans for paragraphs.

Anyway let me know what you think, yay or nay.

Thanks

edit: the whole point of this logo is to represent a HT, also the side elements are a symbol of the pier/harbour, the ripple waves in the middle are the middle line of a H.
