I started playing Control this week and noticed something that really surprised me: achievements that involve completing multiple tasks in one, such as finishing 15 side missions or kill 1000 enemies show the updated progression every time you scored a point (let’s say)
It’s been a while since I started playing games on Steam, and never noticed that - for most of the games, the only notification I get is when I complete the 100% of the achievement itself. So seeing this in Control felt really satisfying, especially for longer or grindier achievements.
Now I’m curious about how this actually works:
Is this something that developers have to specifically implement within the game for Steam to display incremental progress? Or is it more of a Steam feature that only works for certain games? And also, is it something that you would love to see in all games?
