Slowness & Kludginess

All of a sudden over the past 2-3 days multiple notebooks have been unusable. As soon as I launch them, they stall. I cannot scroll through the sources, the studio, or the chat. I get frequent “page not responding” messages. This is on notebooks I’ve been using without problems for months. It seems to be a problem with the chat browser being overloaded. If I delete the chat history, it returns to normal. But I never had this problem previously (and deleting chat history means deleting a lot of context, too). Anyone experiencing similar, and possibly figured out better solutions?

Which Brother for a Consultant Couple?

I love that The New York Times Wirecutter identified three Brother printers as its top choices (see below). This is consistent with tons of advice in this forum. I need to replace my by hateful HP inkjet, so I’m ready.

But which one? I’d love guidance from folks in here. My wife and I are both busy consultants. I need an all in one. Most of my work is PDFs and scans and digital reports. But both of us print things, for business and casual use - maybe 20 pages a week, with one 30-50 page document every six weeks. These are mostly B&W, with some color. My heart wants the color laser, but at $500 it’s twice the price of the monochrome laser and the color inkjet.

Can someone give me a real world reality check?

Seriously, it took us a long time to recognize his communication, that he saw his role as keeping the pack together.
