I recently moved to Brooklyn and i am a visibly queer transgender person 23NB who just got top surgery. Running past people I think most will assume I am male but I have gotten some unkind comments and someone followed me on the street near me in Williamsburg a few times. I have visible surgical scars. I am wondering where in the city it might be safest for me to run shirtless. I’d like to be able to do it when it’s very hot out but I also want to maximize safety. Is this just a bad idea? Let me know if you have experience or advice with this.
