I’ve been OE for 3 years but J1 and J2 are completely different industries and it’s been a total nonissue.
BUT! i just got offered a position that would be replacing J2 at over 2x the current pay. However… It’s the same industry as J1. large healthcare companies, and technically competitors. I do not work with patient charts, patient info, etc. To be as general as possible, one is program management and the other is senior level marketing/communications.
I know this would be breaking the general rule of avoiding the same industry, but I’m hoping to hear if anyone has done this (specifically health care even?) and what your experience was.
I have my TWN frozen and I’m a high producer that keeps to myself. I’m confident I can handle the workload without any questions, but nervous about them somehow finding out about each other another way.
