Thoughts on Venice Itinerary

Going to Venice for 2 days and would love thoughts on my itinerary, especially on the tours I am planning on doing! I'm going through Italy, but am going to be solo traveling through Venice.

Day 1

- Arrival in Venice at 9:30am

- Walk to Mercato di Rialto and have lunch near there at a Cichuetti place (ex. Al Merca)

- Go to the Rialto Bridge

- Sweet treat at Gelatoteca Suso

- 2:30pm-5:30pm I do a tour that includes the trio of the Basilica, Doge's Palace, and Gondola Ride (https://www.venicetours.tours/san-marco-square?\_gl=1\*9wru7g\*\_up\*MQ..\*\_gs\*MQ..&gclid=Cj0KCQjwyr3OBhD0ARIsALlo-OlXA5\_xUgebpm8DFNayS0otqoe-S99My\_OQoec-TZJernoYXom6oOEaAhsbEALw\_wcB&gbraid=0AAAABBSBs34ORlDNipiGJHwgkWzH8tY5\_). I opted for a tour here because doing a Gondola ride is something I really want to do and I heard it is quite expensive with the fixed rates

- Dinner at Ciuchetti place near by (Enoteca Al Volto). Wander around

- 8:30pm Venetian Music concert

Day 2

- Breakfast: Cafe Florian

- 8:45am-2:00pm do a tour of Murano and Burano ((https://thetourguy.com/tours/venice/murano-glassblowing-burano-lace-making-tour?campaignid=23596576072&adgroupid=194167375359&keyword=murano%20glass%20tour%20venice&device=c&gad\_source=1&gad\_campaignid=23596576072&gbraid=0AAAAADM\_CEtIQtams06OsEOTHDPwBaQUX&gclid=CjwKCAjwtvvPBhBuEiwAPMijr248qNJGmAjv-LpueCt3Av4L51YMndwAs6FcyjeDzNo3E\_a8KzQyjBoCJtQQAvD\_BwEn). This will include glass and lacemaking demonstrations, as well as some free time on the islands

- Liberia Acqua Bisteca

- Wander through Cannaregio neighborhood and have dinner there

- Take a train to Bologna (7:26-9:00pm) or (6:26pm-7:29pm)

Bologna day trip itinerary thoughts?

Im going to Italy and found out Bologna is known as the food capital of Italy and as a foodie, I know I just have to spend a day there. I’ll be there Friday, October 9th!

I’d love thoughts on my itinerary as a solo traveler. For additional context, I’m planning to go to Parma the day after Bologna and will do a fancy Parmesan and balsamic vinegar factory there.

Foods I should have: bolognese, tagliatelle Al ragu, tortellini in broth

Morning:
- Via Piella window
- breakfast at mercato Della Erbe

11:00am-1:00pm
- free walking tour through free walking tour italia. This will take me to Piazza nettuno, piazza Maggiore, via D’Azeglio, Corte Galluzi, Archiginnasio, Mercato di Mezzo, Palazzo Della Mercanzia, Piazza Santo Stefano, Corte Isolani, Due Torri

Lunch at Quadrilatero
- post lunch can stroll around Le due torri. Maybe go to a recommended vintage store (Fratelli Broche Vintage)

- Archiginassio Anatomical Theatre (anatomy lecture hall). A little niche but I’m fascinated by anatomy

- walk up the San Luca to see the porticos

- Dinner somewhere (maybe Antica Osteria Le Mura or Trattorria Del Rosso)

Any thoughts would be appreciated, thank you so much!

Milan Help Planning

Hello! Would love thoughts on this Milan itinerary for a day trip. This is the last stop in my 2 week Italy trip

I've done a lot of research but I have not been inspired by much yet. I am going to be in Sardinia, Rome, Florence, Venice, Parma, and Bologna so I am going to be getting a lot of the art museums, churches, etc. In my mind, Milan is super big on fashion so I was trying to curate this more towards the fashion part of it, as well as things I would not see in the other places (ex. the Leonardo da Vinci sketches)

Food to eat: Risotto alla Milanese (saffron risotto), ossobuco (veal shanks),

  • Things to do
    • Optional: Piazza degli Affari (middle finger statue)
    • San Bernadino alle Osse (Bone chapel) (9:30am-6:00pm) (Free)
    • Quadrilateral della Moda fashion
      • Via della Spigga walk down to the infamous via montenapolene

    • Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II: Shopping center
    • Piazza del Duomo (just visit looking outside)
      • Consider getting a ticket for Duomo Terrace

    • Optional: Would need tickets Pinacoteca Ambrosiana (Library)
      • See Leanoardo da Vinci sketches
    • Optional: Rinascente (more shopping)
    • Optional: Eataly Milano and then Bosco Verticale
    • Lunch Option: The FisherMan pasta
      • Try caramelle di polpo al pesto (candy-shaped pasta with octopus and pesto sauce)
    • Brera district wander
    • Last Supper: START LOOKING FOR TICKETS EARLY Ihttps://cenacolovinciano.vivaticket.it/
    • Optional: Navigli wander for dinner

  • Food options: Osteria Bruenello for their risotto alla Milanese
