For the people here who write estimates or quotes, what are the things you learned to include after getting burned once?

I’m thinking about stuff like exclusions, assumptions, access issues, material price changes, cleanup, haul-off, minimum charges, trip time, customer-supplied materials, weird site conditions, etc.

When you were newer, what did you leave out that ended up costing you money or causing a headache later?

Trying to get better at how real contractors structure estimates so the scope is clear before the work starts.
