Hello, everyone - i am very much confused and panicking at the moment I come from India and my family business is to do exhibitions in all across Europe mainly in Germany related to Gemstones and Jewellery and i am 25 M although every year i travel to Germany with my father or either brother and stay at my uncle’s apartment in Hamburg but last time in the month of February i went alone Rented a car and roamed around exploring nearby cities and came back on march 16th but today at my uncle’s residence 2 police card arrived and one of them in plain clothes asked for me at the address ringing the bell as my name is obviously not there on the bells and post box one of my neighbour said that he doesn’t live here then later informed uncle that this happened he called me panicking what did you do !
But to be honest i didn’t do anything as far as i remember i have charged my Ev Rental car twice and didn’t receive any bill yet and i also got flashed once while i was doing 80 in 70 zone near a highway construction so i am pretty much afraid what if they arrest me on my next visit what are my options
My questions:
Is this kind of police visit normal in Germany for address verification?
Could this be something serious, or just administrative?
Has anyone experienced something similar?
I’m currently not in Germany, so just trying to understand what this could be.
Or will i face any visa issues in future ?
