Hello all,

I have visited New Orleans a couple times and really enjoyed it from the people to the history.

I got offered a fairly decent job out there, which would require full relocation to the city. If anybody here has moved from central California, or close by… how is it? I visited away from the summer and locals told me the heat is brutal most of the year and the bug situation, I can’t stand roaches (I know people will say welcome to the south) but is this just a no go for me?

Regardless, if it doesn’t work out… the city definitely has the best people I’ve met across the country, and will visit again.
