New leopard gecko mom
Hi we’ve just gotten a leopard gecko over a week ago and I have done a whole lot of research. I think he’s about to shed based on what I’ve read. He’s pretty lethargic, not eating a whole lot, I noticed him rubbing his face on stuff in his tank. And his color has become dull. I think I need reassurance that he’s not sick. He’s only pooped once since we got him. He eats every other day. But this sounds normal for a gecko who’s maybe 7-8 months old. I’ve read a lot of the files. He’s currently in a small 10 gallon tank but we have a beautiful 50 gallon that we are slowly working on for him once he’s settled. He’s also usually pretty friendly and will crawl onto our hands- we are just practicing creating safety for him but he’s so super cute and I think we will have a cuddly guy. In his small tank I’ve put in a humid hide for him with sphagnum moss and he has a warm hide where he seems to prefer. I appreciate any help or feed back. Also his name is Loki! Yes this picture has a carpet but we switched that for paper towel.
