Seasonal Kingdom strategy for no-spend players

Hi all

I see a lot of strategies on what one should buy, when to buy when SK starts but I wanted to hear from players who have excelled without spending or minimally spending? If anyone could share what has worked well for them, tips and tricks, etc.

For context, Im currently at G6:M6, 55Million might, reasonably active (One epic attack per day on top of daily challenges)

My main reason for playing SK is to get Skadi/Heimdall/Beowulf or any of the fancy artefacts.

Training less riders vs melee & ranged?

Why can I only train 1190 mounted knights vs 2370 for melee and ranged in one go?

I have been scratching my head trying to see if its some research I haven’t done for the riders or barracks or talent points but can’t find it

My first time playing seasonal kingdom. I didn’t do the best at the sands of eternity so is this it for me to achieve “accelerated season start”?

Today is day 2 and I expected there to be another event. Does anyone know how it works?
