That entire first run it was a mystery what was under there, and then as soon as it was off, it barely seemed to stay on after that.

Homeworld and Spartak might have been bad under Karza and Shatain but they weren't dead, every time they came to earth people were endangered or killed.
Every time they got rid of Karza it always came with a bigger cost.
Dead roboids, kill them or don't, but if it's every other issue it loses some of its impact.
Heroes being reduced to atoms on earth and ending up back home, once was lucky, two times just seems like lazy writing.
Don't get me wrong it's still my favourite comic, but it should have ended without new voyages, with us left to imagine the adventures they might have.
