working on a new idea a sky gondola or tram of sorts, I want to make it at least 2 sections long for stability since I plan on adding chests and pumps to the front to make its own path

the hardest part will be the print head, first I need to figure out a gimble or aiming mechanism that will allow it to steer its path when you're building a new one and be able to start a new path when you're on the ground or be able to just go up any existing path, after that I have to figure out how to make it so the print head can move out of its own way to allow it to reverse, I want to be able to reverse all the way back off a path and be able to pick another existing path or just start a new one whenever you want

Im curious what everyones favorite mod is on average, if your interested add your favorite mod in the comments or upvote it if its already there and see what mod gets the most love, for me its survival terrain currantly but

It would be kind of interesting to see what mods are most popular and might be a good indicator if im missing out on any awesome mods i haven't noticed

target practice on myself, I never realized spuds have a set speed, I just assumed the faster you're moving the faster they would come out, I guess they operate like light but instead of the speed of light it's the speed of spud which is between 450 to 475 kph

It's funny when you're traveling faster than a spud, they look like they're shooting backwards and apparently, they don't hit the gun no matter what way they come out of it

Nesting dolls or nesting blocks actually

I also made a little test to see if I could disappear doors and other parts of a loose building without it yanking the whole thing with it and it actually worked decently, I have the strength as low as it will go to keep it from being too chaotic so the stuffs not getting launched out of the game most of the time, it just gets sent up a few thousand blocks usually

small dragon from wings of fire my daughter made, I'm not sure which dragon it's supposed to be, I added bearings and a servo controller to get it moving

next I want to try and add a unit facer to get its head tracking the player then work on getting it walking so it follows you around, seeing as the wings are tiny for its size I'm just going to call it the chicken or penguin equivalent of a dragon and not worry about making it fly

watch closely the direction the engines spinning, it's the bearing pass thru in the center with a glass block, once it's moving it keeps powering in that direction you can see it reverse while still converting the torque seamlessly in the same direction

It looks so weird to see it reverse but keep spinning the rear differential or whatever you would call it in the same direction, this was supposed to have reverse from the engine but apparently that won't work, the direction it goes seems to depend on where it's at in its rotation so maybe similar to the piston I'm using as a break I could use them to push it into the position for reverse or forward then I won't have to even worry about having the engine capable of reversing

And few more random bugs related to this glitch I ran into in challenge mode, I'd say the void transporter is not survival friendly, but I thought it was funny that the rest of my creation was always apparently behind me according to the connection before it completely broke off and after it broke it would no longer let me start the challenge, nothing happened when pressing the button, also another odd bug i had several massive buildings setting over the void and when I started the challenge a building was duplicated and spawned on the platform i deleted all the buildings and the extra still spawned until i placed the lift and deleted it

It would be pretty funny to see something like this in a challenge, imagine you go to open a door and the building its attached disappears instead

not sure why it's so hard to tip backwards when climbing, I'm sure its related to the fact that the wheels are powered by a suspension glitch so I just leaned into that and added an engine to the wheel bearings so now it can also tilt forward and backward a tiny bit, I didn't make it strong enough to pull wheels or anything but enough to save yourself before rolling over backward when climbing it makes it a real beast for rock crawling now

it's surprising just how well it climbs with almost no suspension and being so tall with such a short wheelbase, I'd expect it to roll way easier than it does

I couldn't get my wheel moving fast without either the problem where it spawns slow or pistons shooting, but U/soommeerELK had a good idea, previously i had the outer wheel welded to the inner one which seems to lock it into a super slow speed with them welded to the other end of the pistons there a little off center but at least twice as fast as what i was getting after spawn, I'm using piston's instead of servo controller's like soommeerELK but it looks like it's close to the same effect

Ignore the udders they just happened to be the closest wheel shaped piece I found that fit my creation, I'm working on self-propelled wheels for something, the plan was to have them able to go forward backward and maybe break using a wasd converter but I ran into a little hiccup that I thought was interesting, I'm kind of curious what exactly changes between saving it and spawning it, when I compare them they are connected the same but it only goes fast when I reconnect them after spawning and the order I connect them might even be a factor, it's like I have to connect the outside to pistons first then disconnect them before connecting the center one or it just stays slow

It would be interesting to see the variety of rock crawlers people can come up with, and the length definitely plays a role for example my snake had no trouble just going up the slope thanks to how long it is, so I'd say a general length limit's needed for to qualify as a real rock crawler, It would be cool to see the crawlers you guys can come up with, and I'd say thrusters feel like they break the challenge of maximizing traction, I found this map from way back in the past but it looks like a badass rock crawler obstacle and it seems possible to climb maybe lol
