Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day!

It’s a constant up and down, but this last week had been again a struggle with my 17 year old son, so unfortunately my plans to do something nice with both my kids today won’t work out the way I thought and I already know, my 17 year old won’t even look at me. It was like that on my Birthday this year. I’m sad, but I know he struggles a lot with self esteem issues, with emotional regulation and compulsive behavior. Next week he has an appointment with a psychiatrist for assessment, I hope this will help.

I really just want to say Happy Mother’s Day to all of you! You doing your best and if your kids don’t appreciate you right now for any reasons, make this day to a self care and self love day for you! Let go of all the worries just for today! Go out and get a favorite hot/cold drink, meet a friend, take a bath, buy yourself some flowers, watch a movie or go for a walk! Sending love to all of you ❤️

I hope this question doesn’t sound weird. English is not my first language.

I own a 1800s farmhouse with an older heating system and cesspool, I split recently a lot off and I’m now debating if I should build a house on it and sell the farmhouse or if I should sell both and buy a house 10min away. Building seems more expensive right now, but buying means a much smaller lot (the one I split off is big), I also have other concerns when I imagine living in a new house right next to my old house. I put a lot of work in my house, but there’s still the old heating and cesspool and you never know, how long it will hold up. Will it be very uncomfortable if something with the house eventually goes wrong and I have the new owners right next to me? We would also share the same driveway (ROW).

Any advice?

Hi,

It’s been a struggle with my reactive dog (she’s a rescue) and I’m training her since two years. I had animal behaviorist and dog trainers and so far no success. She was on fluoxetine which didn’t help at all and is since six months on Sertraline, we started with 50mg and pumped it up to 75mg two months ago, the vet also prescribed her 1.5 pills of clonidine 0.3. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to help with her training at all. Is the dosage right for her? The vet said he won’t feel comfortable to go any higher. She is 67lb. I’m so frustrated.
