Am I ruining carnivore by loving steak seasoning?

Hey everyone,

quick question: is it still “okay” to use a spice mix on steaks while doing carnivore?

I know strict carnivore is basically just meat + salt, but honestly… I love my seasoning and use quite a bit of it.

Carbs-wise it’s still low overall, but I’m wondering if it could mess with results (energy, cravings, inflammation, etc.)

Why am I not experiencing keto flu on a near-carnivore diet?

Hello everyone,

I am currently following a near-carnivore diet. The only exception is that I use olive oil instead of butter, as I prefer to avoid dairy products.

Before starting, I did a 3 day preparation phase where I increased my meat intake and reduced carbohydrates to under 40g per day. Since then, I have been eating approximately 700–850 grams of beef daily.

I also make sure to consume a high amount of salt each day. I salt my meals generously and additionally take salt with water. My fat-to-protein ratio is roughly 1:1, mainly using olive oil.

So far, I have not experienced any negative side effects, including the so-called “keto flu.”

Am I doing everything correctly, and is there a reason why I am not experiencing keto flu?
