Hey guys, I have a 2021 1.5TSI 150PS VW Golf (manual), I only got it a few months ago and it doesn’t have too many miles on it (around 40k) but it’s making such a strange noise. It’s not a noise I’ve ever heard come from an engine before and I have no idea what it could be and neither do any of my friends that are into cars although one did suggest it could be a spark plug. I’ve recently discovered the noise stops when the clutch is engaged, and as soon as it’s disengaged it begins again even when the car is in gear. It doesn’t idle rough and runs smooth. It had a full check from the garage before we bought it and there’s no engine lights or anything. I’ve attached a video of the noise - does anyone have any idea what this could be? TIA
