Passed Step 3 before residency & as a full time stay at home mom!

I am in a unique situation as to how I was able to take the new format of the Step 3 exam before residency. I started off at a carribean school then was able to transfer to an American medical school at the start of my third year. When I got accepted into the American school, I got accepted towards the end of July in which the 3rd years had already started their rotation. With that being said, I initially thought I would just take a year off & start the following July but I started third year in January (I was 30 weeks pregnant 😅). I also received 6 weeks off for maternity leave as well. So with all of that, I was able to still walk for graduation in May 2025, but I had a few more rotations left to do & finished medical school in October 2025 & got my diploma in December 2025.

I started being a stay at home mom because my family was already living under one income & who has time to keep paying an absurd amount of money for daycare? Not us! So I’ve been a stay at home since mid December & will stop once I start residency in which I move in 2 weeks for. I passed step 1 on my first attempt, passed step 2 with 22x, and passed step 3 with a 21x. I am not the best test taker as you can see, but the Lord gets all the praise for my success.

Just wanted folks to know that while having a
toddler that is 2 & being a full time stay at home mom, you CAN pass.
