In the past, I’ve owned Discovery 3 & 4s but then took a break from the brand when my last D4 snapped his crank.
As I can’t seem to stay away from the brand purchase myself a D5 2020. Lovely car, love it to pieces, but I am upset about some bits of it.
I read before I brought it that the D5 is less utilitarian and rugged than the D4 however there are some things that really annoy me about it:
- The door cards in the vehicle are not leather or hard material they are a soft fabric like material. While this is nice now it’s fairly new over the next several years I can see these getting torn or getting really grubby!
- this one annoys me a bit more than it should the little cubby holes either side of the boot are really small in comparison to the previous generations I’ve owned.
- There is far less space under the rear boot floor than they used to be!
- The piano like gloss black and shiny silver surfaces where you select the gear and off-road settings is really shiny and reflects the Sun.
Be clear I love the car just worth some people out there reading this before they purchased one.
