I manage an infant/toddler centre in B.C. Canada. Our centre is very nature based and our community is an agricultural community. Our 3-5 program (located at a different location) has a flock of chickens, sells their eggs and also gardens. At the infant/toddler we have a garden.
Our centre is relocating onto our local agricultural event hub. I’m starting to brainstorm ideas we can do with the toddler to enter in our fall fair (2027).I’m thinking we could get our own flock of chickens & do eggs but I’m wondering if anyone has any other ideas. The age range of the toddlers range from 0-3yrs old however due to maternity leave most toddlers don’t start daycare until 12-18 months of age. Does anyone have any other ideas of agricultural projects we can facilitate and explore with our toddler?
TLDR: Any agricultural projects to incorporate into an infant/toddler centre?
