UK Cigarette allowance
Hi! I’m going on holiday with my partner soon to Albania. My mother is a heavy smoker and has asked us to bring her some cigs back from duty free.
She’s just come back from her own holiday, and brought these big boxes of L&B ( 600 cigs, 3x200 boxes) and is telling me the allowance has changed now. After some googling it says nothing about it changing and that it’s still 200 per person.
Anyway she’s told me to buy them from Luton airport (where we’re flying from) take them with us to Albania then put one box in the suitcase on the way back and then put one in our hand luggage. But I’m worrying about the allowance. She’s obviously just done it and is nagging me to do the same, but I’m an anxious flyer as it is, and this is seriously bringing me more anxiety that I don’t need. Is the limit still 200 per person? And why could she buy bigger boxes if it is only 200 per person?
