Minolta XD7/11 repair help
Hey I hope someone can help me with an I think rather unique mirror problem with my XD7. At least I couldn't find the exact problem documented somewhere else.
In short, when triggering the shutter the mirror gets stuck 3/4 of the way up and the shutter doesn't release.
If the mirror is locked up the camera works perfectly good. All the electronic and manual shutter speeds work and are acurate, meter too,
Selftimer works, mirror piston already cleaned and works.
When the mirror is stuck in 3/4 position I can apply pressure with my finger to a specific point an the shutter releases and mirror flips down.
Something seems to be to tight or stuck or not lubricated in the mirror mechanism and it drives me crazy because it seems like an tiny little thing I am missing that's keeping me from using this beautiful camera.
Has anyone run into the same problem? Are there any other gears/ levers I should check/ know about that could cause this?
