Hello, my father in law was diagnosed with prostate cancer Gleason 9 at age 67 around 9 years ago. He is now being investigated for a possible recurrence.

His brother (my husband’s uncle) was diagnosed at age 80 and got treated successfully but not sure what’s the Gleason score.

My husband had his PSA this year at age 40 and it’s 0.68 which is normal for his age.

He has 2 other uncles in their 60s and 70s and no prostate cancer. Also he has a brother 51 and another 32 also so far they are healthy.

I can’t help but worry too much that he is doomed to get prostate cancer because of his father and uncle.

Anyone here who had two cases of prostate cancer at similar ages, but several other men in the family older age without prostate cancer ?
