I’m a PCB student and I’ve spent the last 3 years preparing for NEET, but over time I realized I’m not actually interested in becoming a doctor anymore. I kept studying because of pressure and confusion, but now I genuinely feel more interested in cooking and hospitality.

Recently I started researching hotel management and culinary arts, and I’m seriously considering doing B.Sc Hospitality/Hotel Management and becoming a professional chef.

The problem is my family is not fully confident in this decision because they feel I already lost several years and they’re worried this could become another mistake.

I want honest advice from people who are already in hospitality/culinary fields:

- Is becoming a chef in India realistically a good long-term career?

- Is B.Sc Hotel Management worth it for someone like me?

- What is the actual reality of kitchen life and salary growth?

- If you changed careers after NEET/JEE pressure, how did your family react?

I’m okay with hard work. I just want to move toward a career I can genuinely commit to instead of forcing myself into NEET again without interest.

Would really appreciate practical guidance and real experiences.
