Unpopular Opinion - Guecha Warrior Might Have it’s Place After All
1000-1100 Elo, depending on the day. Twice now, I have used Guecha Warriors as a late game counter to “ideal comps” - CA + Hussar, and before that Skirm/Arb + Beserker (bit of an unorthodox one, but there you have it). I’ve found them to be a lot more effective against the faster unit that would ideally take them out if they were skirms, while also of course doing well against the archer unit they’re meant to counter. I could be wrong but I think I would have lost a skirm mass in the same situation.
They are definitely still situational, but I was pleasantly surprised by how they performed given their current reputation.
I also wonder about their phosphoru Strat potential given they are a castle wood gold unit that can hit and run to some extent? but never tried it.
